Letters and Email Messages to Ohio MUFON

Dear Bill:

While I don't know anything about this case [see ";UFO Sighted Over Missile Base in 1966"], yesterday I heard something I'd never run across before.

My cousin told me of an incident that happened some years ago (probably 20 or more) on his farm. An object was seen at 100 feet altitude and about 150 feet land distance away from him at about midnight. He was sleeping outside in hot weather. There was a terrible sulfur smell. His usually assertive dog went and hid in a building while this was going on. My cousin thinks that the sulfur was streaming down from the UFO toward the ground, BUT NEVER REACHED THE GROUND! He says he could see the sulfur. He may be mistaken, possibly seeing something else seeming to stream from the UFO. Further, he says that while the object emanated no light, the entire country was lit up. Ah, well, there was probably a lot more going on in that incident to control his perceptions than what he suspects.

Dear Bill:

I feel it's a shame the rest of the world never knows what is happening in Africa! We don't actually have abduction experiences, or if the tribal people do, they don't tell me about it. But they do have close sightings and I find that much more credible and easy to explain to others. Especially as they have no idea as to what they have experienced.

Cynthia Hind

Harare, Zimbabwe

We are encouraging Mrs. Hind to write a long article for our next Ohio UFO Notebook, hopefully one large enough to fill the entire issue. Knowledge of what is happening in other parts of the world is essential if we are ever to learn what the UFO phenomena represents.

(We regret to report that Ms. Hind has since passed away. She will be missed by the UFO community)
