Astonishing Encounters in Pennsylvania
Stan discusses the long history of anomolous encounters in Pennsylvania including the current flap that began in 2018,
and his current, in his words; "the weirdest investigation I have ever done".
We are honored to bring back to our conference one of the hardest working men in UFOlogy, Stan Gordon. From the age of 16, Stan has been investigating anomolus incidents in Pennsylvania and its surrounding states. The Kecksburg UFO crash, near his home, was one of the first investigations he cut his teeth on.
Stan has probably investigated more reports than any other researcher of which we are aware. During the Pennsylvania flap of 1973, Stan and his team, would receive and investigate more than a dozen reports in a single night.
He has been involved with the examination of thousands of UFO and other strange reports from across the Keystone State. During the late 1960's, Stan acted as a telephone report sighting coordinator for the UFO Research Institute of Pittsburgh. Stan has been internationally recognized as an authority on the subject of the UFO and Bigfoot phenomena.
He gained prominence from his first hand investigation into the well remembered 1973 UFO/Bigfoot series of sightings and encounters which occurred in Pennsylvania. He founded the Westmoreland County UFO Study Group in 1970, which expanded to the Pennsylvania Center For UFO Research in 1975. In 1981 he founded the Pennsylvania Association For the Study Of The Unexplained.
Stan Gordon served as the Pennsylvania State Director of the Mutual UFO Network for many years and was the first recipient (1978) of the annual MUFON "Meritorious Achievement in A UFO Investigation Award." Stan also continues to investigate information concerning the controversial UFO crash/retrieval case which occurred on December 9, 1965 near Kecksburg in Pennsylvania and has been the primary investigator of the event for many years.
"2019 marked 60 years of my research into the UFO phenomena and cryptozoology. Many readers will find it of interest that I have never personally seen a UFO or Bigfoot, however, I have interviewed thousands of witnesses over the years and I have seen some interesting physical evidence while out in the field investigating such incidents."
Some books and videos by Stan Gordon:
The Battle of Los Angeles
David digs deeper into the events of 1942, on the night when Los Angeles seemingly defended itsef from an "alien" invasion of some kind.
UFO reports are often "one-off" investigative events, with investigators moving on when another, fresher incident occurs. This can leave gaps in an incident report that investigators just don't have time to fill. We are pleased to be able to bring back to our conference, researcher, David Marler, who feels an obligation to dig deeper into reports that often don't receive the attention they deserve.
David Marler received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardville. He received his Certification in Hypnotherapy from Mottin and Johnson Institute of Hypnosis in St. Louis, Missouri.
He is a registered Polysomnographic Technician and assisted in diagnosing and treating patients that suffered from various sleep disorders for several years at a major St. Louis-based medical facility. He currently works for an international medical company and resides in the Albuquerque, NM area.
He joined MUFON in 1990 as a Field Investigator Trainee. He has served as field Investigator, State Section Director, as well as Illinois State Director. During his tenure with MUFON, he had conducted numerous investigations into alleged UFO sightings and related experiences. Most recently, at the 2016 Ozark Mountain UFO Conference, David was awarded the Lucius O. Farish Award for Excellence in UFO-Related Research and Education. It is a genuine honor only awarded to three other recipients in the field.
David has had a lifelong interest in the UFO subject. He strives to have an open mind regarding the UFO phenomenon. However, he also acknowledges the need for a skeptical approach when examining each individual UFO report. Despite the large percentage of misidentifications and hoaxes in the UFO data, David recognizes what appears to be a core phenomenon beneath it all.
He has discussed the subject of UFOs on several radio and television (Discovery, Learning, History, Science, Smithsonian Channels), and news programs. He is offering commentary on this season's "Project Bluebook" He has also lectured on the subject to numerous school and adult audiences over the years. Recent evidence of his historical research is his-published book, "Triangular UFOs: An Estimate of the Situation".
