Jennie Ziedman, 88, a native Ohioan, passed away on April 8, 2020.
She has appeared in a number of TV shows regarding the UFO phenomenon including "UFO Witness" with Ben Hansen in 2020 and "Sightings" in 1994. She also wrote several books and reports including "Helicopter-Ufo Encounter over Ohio (Spanish Edition)", "Colorado probe: An inquiry into the 1995 Salida UFO sightings and videotape", and "The Lumberton report: UFO activity in southern North Carolina, April 3-9, 1975 (Report / Center for UFO Studies)"
Here is a tribute from Dr. Irena Scott
"She was about the first UFOlogist I met. She helped me in many ways and furnished a lot of the material for my last book. This included Dr. J. Allen Hynek's hand written letters and much material and information from the Battelle, SR-14 study that gave a super idea of what went on, and much more from Blue Book and elsewhere. She worked for Dr. Hynek at Ohio State University, Battelle Memorial Institute, and Wright-Patterson AFB's Project Blue Book. She worked at all these institutions, was a writer, and investigator. She let me use many photos of UFOlogists and of Dr. Hynek. She will be really missed.
I think she had been on the Board of Directors of both CUFOS and MUFON. She was a pilot and solved one of Dr. Hynek's cases that impressed him and he hired her. She spent many years researching UFOs. She interviewed an astonishing number of people.
Much of the material in my last book came from her: "Sacred Corridors Secrets Behind the Real Project Blue Book, Wright-Patterson AFB, Roswell, Battelle, Memory Metal, Dr. J. Allen Hynek & UFO Cover-Ups".
I saw her last year and thought she looked pretty good. She was still driving and as witty as ever. I really mourn her recent passing.
